MYTHOLOGY-Brahma's Lust

At the dawn of creation,Goddess Saraswati emerged from Brahma's forehead. He was so mesmerized by Her beauty & grace that He couldn't help Himself staring at Her. Disgusted at His attention towards Her,the Goddess went in different directions. In which ever direction She went, a new head sprung out of Brahma, just to get a glimpse of Her divine beauty.By the time She travelled all the four directions to escape Brahma's lustful eyes, He had already generated three more heads. Even when the Goddess tried to move in a upward direction, Brahma generated a new head in that direction also.

Seemed helpless, the Goddess prayed to Lord Shiva. To restrain Brahma's lust, Lord Shiva wrenched one of Brahma's head & uttered a curse to cease the worship of Brahma in the three worlds from that very moment. Realizing His fault, Brahma sought forgiveness to the Goddess. And in the view of this, Goddess Saraswati is being worshiped in her individual capacity as the patron Goddess of Knowledge, Art & Wisdom. In Hindu Mythology, Goddess Saraswati is considered to be the consort of Lord Brahma. While Brahma is the God of Creation, Saraswati is the Goddess of Creativity.
